Reception and remarks to celebrate the launch of Advancing Naval Careers Through Higher-ed Outreach and Research (ANCHOR) a five-year award from the Maritime Industrial Base (MIB) funded through General Dynamics Electric Boat. This contract is awarded to the UConn-URI Navy STEM Coalition, who collaborate with the National Institute for Undersea Vehicle Technology (NIUVT). This contract develops new and supports ongoing K-12 educational outreach and workforce development initiatives across southern New England, and serves a pilot to be adopted nationally.
